Private Client Senior Associate / Director / Partner | 5+ PQE

Location: Perth

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a growing and forward‑looking Private Client team in Perth. The role is open at Senior Associate, Director or Partner level, making it suitable both for established Partners seeking a new platform and senior lawyers ready to step up.

The team advises a wide range of private individuals, families and business owners across Scotland, offering depth, continuity and trusted advice across generations. You’ll have the chance to shape your practice, deepen client relationships and contribute meaningfully to the future direction of the department.

The role

You’ll handle a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Trust and executry administration, including complex estates
• Drafting wills and powers of attorney
• Succession and tax planning for individuals, families and business owners
• Advising on estates, trusts and related private client issues
• Developing long‑standing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
• Supporting team development and contributing to departmental growth

About you

This role would suit a Private Client Solicitor who:

• Has 5+ years’ PQE in private client work
• Brings depth of technical knowledge across trusts, executries, estates, tax and succession planning
• Takes a calm, thoughtful and client‑centred approach
• Enjoys mentoring, collaboration and helping teams grow
• Has the ambition to develop their practice within a respected, people‑focused firm
• Communicates clearly and confidently with clients
• Works in a proactive, organised and solution‑driven way
• Has STEP membership, or is working towards it (desirable)
