Private Client Senior Associate | 7+ PQE

Location: Glasgow | Hybrid Working Available

A senior opportunity has arisen within a growing Private Client team, focused on estate planning and executry work. This role is suited to an experienced Senior Associate who enjoys combining technical legal work with leadership responsibilities, including supervising junior colleagues and contributing to the development of the wider team.

You’ll work closely with Partners on complex and high‑value matters, while playing a key role in shaping team performance and maintaining excellent client relationships.

The role

You’ll take ownership of a varied and often complex private client caseload, including:

• Executry and estate administration work
• Advising on Wills, Powers of Attorney and trust structures
• Inheritance Tax and succession planning
• Supervising solicitors, paralegals and trainees
• Delegating and overseeing day‑to‑day team workload
• Supporting training and knowledge sharing across the team
• Reporting to Partners on performance and financials
• Contributing to business development and cross‑referral of services
• Reviewing internal processes, precedents and procedures

About you

This role would suit a Private Client Solicitor who:

• Has 7+ years’ PQE in private client work
• Demonstrates excellent technical knowledge across executries, Wills, trusts and tax planning
• Has experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
• Communicates clearly and builds long‑standing client relationships
• Is organised and comfortable managing a busy caseload
• Takes a proactive approach to team and client development
• Brings a commercial awareness to billing and performance
