Private Client / Rural Estates Solicitor Opportunity

A highly regarded Private Client team with offices across West Sussex is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Private Client Solicitor (2–8 years PQE) to join its expanding practice.

This opportunity sits within a Legal 100 national law firm with a well‑established reputation for advising high‑net‑worth individuals, landed estates and multi‑generational families, particularly in relation to rural estate planning, succession and tax.

The Role

The successful Private Client Solicitor will advise an existing client base on a broad range of private client and rural estate matters, including:

• Rural estate and succession planning
• Wills and estate administration
• Inheritance tax and estate tax planning
• Trust creation, administration and advisory work
• Lifetime planning for high‑net‑worth individuals and families
• Cross‑border and international private client matters (desirable but not essential)

You will work closely with long‑standing clients, meaning the role requires excellent client‑facing and relationship‑management skills, alongside strong technical private client expertise.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor (2–8 years PQE)
• Experience advising on private client, estate and tax planning matters
• Exposure to rural estate or succession planning is highly desirable
• International private client experience advantageous but not essential
• Strong technical skills combined with a commercial and client‑focused approach
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building ability
