This is an opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a large and established private client practice based in Glasgow. The role offers high‑quality, complex private client work for individuals and families, often at important or sensitive points in their lives, with real scope to develop technical expertise and progress long term.

You’ll be part of a collaborative personal legal services offering, working alongside colleagues across related disciplines to deliver joined‑up, thoughtful advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.

The role

You’ll manage a varied private client caseload covering wills, trusts, executries and succession planning, with a focus on tax‑efficient estate planning. The work includes advising on inheritance tax and capital gains tax, drafting trusts and tailored will provisions, handling complex executry and trust administrations and supporting adults with incapacity matters.

A significant element of the role involves delivering proactive, forward‑looking advice to clients, including those with agricultural or business interests and working closely with other professional advisers where appropriate.

About you

This role would suit a Private Client Solicitor who:

• Has 3+ years’ PQE in private client work
• Has experience advising on IHT and estate planning, including reliefs
• Is confident drafting complex wills and trust documentation
• Has managed executries and trust administrations, including taxable estates
• Has a solid understanding of trust taxation
• Brings a commercial, client‑focused mindset
• Is comfortable collaborating with colleagues and third parties
