These are exciting times in the Bermudian market. Always considered a blue-chip offshore financial centre with an outstanding (re)insurance sector, in recent years it has diversified into new markets, none more so than investment funds and digital assets. The sector is growing rapidly, both in the number of funds and assets under management, and this long established and successful boutique is seeking a funds specialist to join its strong corporate team and take a lead on developing its offering.
The work will span financing, formation, regulation, and operation of private funds (PE, infrastructure, real estate) as well as the expanding market for insurance-linked securities. For an ambitious funds lawyer, this is an opportunity to take on genuine responsibility and establish yourself as a recognised specialist in one of the island’s fastest-growing sectors.
Requirements
Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada or South Africa). Happy to consider lawyers at all levels from Associate to Counsel (minimum 3 years’ PQE required for work permit, no upper limit). Strong funds experience from a good onshore or offshore law firm or gained in-house within a relevant legal team.
Package
Excellent low-tax salary, negotiable depending on experience. Benefits and bonus. Relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).
