A respected regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to lead its Employment team. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys business development, team management and delivering commercially focused advice to a broad client base.

You will take ownership of the department’s continued growth, leading from the front while maintaining a varied and high quality employment law caseload. There is a clear route to partnership for the right individual, alongside the opportunity to play a key role in the firm’s wider strategic direction.

The Role

• Lead, mentor and develop the Employment team
• Manage a mixed claimant and respondent employment caseload
• Conduct and oversee Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
• Deliver pragmatic and commercially focused advice to clients
• Drive departmental growth through networking and business development
• Monitor financial performance, including billing, WIP and profitability
• Ensure exceptional client service and communication throughout every matter
• Contribute to the firm’s leadership and long term strategy

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
• Strong Employment Tribunal experience
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
• Confident business developer with excellent client relationship skills
• Commercially aware with strong leadership potential
• Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
• Ambitious and motivated to progress towards partnership
