Corporate/M&A Lawyer NEW

A leading independent German law firm is looking to strengthen its Corporate practice in Cologne and is seeking experienced Lawyers who are considering the next step in their careers. Candidates will be considered at Senior Associate and Non-Equity Partner level.

The team advises on a broad range of corporate law matters, M&A transactions, private equity and venture capital investments. Its work includes acquisitions, structured sale processes, leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and management buyouts (MBOs), often involving significant infrastructure projects and highly regulated industries, particularly the energy and healthcare sectors. The practice offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile domestic and international mandates, with substantial responsibility for client advisory work and transaction management from an early stage.

Your Profile:

• Several years of relevant professional experience in corporate law, M&A, private equity and/or venture capital.
• Excellent academic results in the German State Examinations in Law; a doctorate and/or an international postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
• Excellent English language skills and the ability to advise on complex international transactions.
• A strong understanding of commercial and economic issues.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a confident and professional manner.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative approach and a clear ambition to progress your career.
• An openness to leveraging modern legal technology and generative AI tools to enhance legal advisory work and transaction processes.
