Sellick Partnership is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a highly regarded local authority in the East of England. This role is offered on a remote (Comittee once every 2-3 months) basis and is available for an initial 3-6 month contract, with the potential for extension.
Joining a collaborative and supportive legal team, you will play a key role in providing expert legal advice across a varied and interesting planning caseload.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing general planning law advice to officers and stakeholdersDrafting and negotiating Section 106 agreementsAdvising on highway agreements and related mattersSupporting the council on a broad range of planning and development projectsAttend planning committees once every 2-3 monthsThe successful candidate will have proven experience handling planning law matters and be confident managing their own caseload. While previous local government experience would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from candidates currently working in private practice who are looking to bring their expertise into the public sector.
