Employment Lawyer NEW

A leading independent German law firm is looking to strengthen its Employment Law practice in Hamburg and is seeking an experienced Lawyer to join an established and highly regarded team. The team advises on complex employment law matters and offers a collaborative working environment with a strong focus on high-quality legal work.

The practice advises employers across all areas of employment law, with a particular emphasis on collective employment law, including collective bargaining agreements and works constitution law. Its work includes representing companies in employment law disputes, conducting negotiations with works councils and trade unions, and advising on complex employment law projects. The role offers early responsibility, including independently handling court proceedings from the outset, as well as the opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues on challenging mandates.

Your Profile:

• At least two years of relevant professional experience in employment law.
• Strong academic results in the German State Examinations in Law. A doctorate and/or an international postgraduate qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Excellent English language skills, including the ability to negotiate confidently in English.
• A strong understanding of commercial considerations and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident, approachable and professional manner.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong motivation to develop your own career.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to take initiative and assume responsibility.
