Job opportunity

Join a growing, award-winning independent financial planning firm and take genuine ownership of a developing Estate Planning and Private Client service. You’ll manage a varied caseload for high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs, working closely with experienced IFAs and the wider team. With a £30,000 – £40,000 basic salary plus a performance and growth-linked bonus, there is a realistic OTE of £70,000 – £80,000 and hybrid working for the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Draft straightforward and complex wills and provide tailored estate planning advice.
• Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Advise on and administer trusts, probate and estate administration.
• Identify inheritance tax planning opportunities and work collaboratively with IFAs.
• Develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the growth of the Private Client offering.

Requirements

• At least two years’ experience in will writing and private client work, with a proven ability to manage a caseload independently from instruction through to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, trusts, estate administration, LPAs, probate and inheritance tax principles.
• Experience working with high-net-worth clients and handling complex matters.
• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance and when specialist legal referral is required.
• Hold, or be working towards, a STEP qualification or a similar relevant qualification in trusts, estate planning or private client work
