Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) – Private Wealth & Inheritance

Are you an experienced Private Client Lawyer looking to move away from fee-earning while remaining at the forefront of legal developments?

A leading law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to play a key role in the continued success of its Private Wealth & Inheritance team. This is a strategic position focused on knowledge management, technical excellence, training and innovation across a broad range of private client matters.

Working closely with Lawyers across the practice, you’ll help shape best practice, develop technical resources, deliver training and support the team’s response to legal and regulatory change. You’ll also contribute to business development initiatives and help drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and legal technology.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining precedents, templates and technical guidance
• Providing research and technical support on complex private client matters
• Acting as a trusted adviser on wills, trusts, estate planning and contentious probate issues
• Monitoring legal, tax and probate developments and communicating key updates
• Designing and delivering training programmes across the team
• Supporting trainee development and learning initiatives
• Contributing to client seminars, legal updates and thought leadership content
• Driving process improvements and promoting effective use of legal technology
• Supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing across practice areas

About you:

• 6+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
• Existing PSL/Knowledge Lawyer or an experienced fee earner seeking a transition
• Strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, estate planning and contentious probate
• Court of Protection and trust administration experience would be advantageous
• Excellent drafting, research and communication skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Commercially aware, collaborative and passionate about developing others
