Criminal Solicitor – Hybrid

Criminal Solicitor | Leicester / Hybrid Working | up to £60,000 per annum

The Firm:

A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm, established in the late 1900s, which has grown into a leading presence across the Midlands is looking for a Criminal Solicitor to join their team. With a team of around 200 professionals across multiple offices, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services. The firm are now looking to add a Criminal Solicitor to their highly respected team in Leicester. 

The Role:

You will become part of a long-established and experienced department, handling a broad range of criminal matters and representing clients across Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts in the local area.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing a varied caseload of criminal matters
• Representing clients at Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts
• Advising clients across a wide range of criminal law issues
• Attending courts and police stations across Leicestershire
• Participating in the out-of-hours Police Station rota

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor or Criminal Defence Advocate
• Duty Solicitor status and Police Station Accreditation desirable 
• Experience handling cases in the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court
• Exposure to Crown Court matters (desirable)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to travel across Leicester and surrounding areas

Salary and Benefits:
